UCED BIO s.r.o. operates its own energy source that utilizes phytomass for combined production of electricity and heat, with complete construction and technological accessories and services in the industrial area of ČKD Kutná Hora, a.s. The fuel for the energy source consists of cereal and rapeseed straw, as well as purposefully cultivated energy crops in the form of standardized bales.

Cogeneration Units

Our company is also equipped with cogeneration units, which enable efficient combined production of electricity and heat. This technology allows us to utilize waste heat from electricity generation and convert it into useful heat for various industrial and commercial applications. Cogeneration units contribute to energy efficiency and reduce our dependence on external energy sources.

  • The system operates as a hot water system with a temperature difference of 70°C/90°C.
  • The unit is integrated with two gas boilers, each with a capacity of 1.25 MWt.

CHP unit Vítkovice
  • Two CHP units installed, one CHP in operation
  • 3 supply points (Dolní Vítkovice area)
  • In Ostrava, Dolní Vítkovice area, we operate an energy center that is connected to our own distribution system. The thermal system consists of two cogeneration units with installed capacities of 200 kW electrical and 276 kW thermal, which supply hot water to three consumption points of a single customer (Dolní oblast VÍTKOVICE, z.s.). The customer's facilities are located in neighboring buildings where cultural and other events take place at irregular intervals. Additionally, the energy center is connected to the hot water supplier ČEZ Energetické služby s.r.o., from which heat is obtained when the heat demand exceeds the thermal output of the cogeneration units. Heat exchange is realized through a heat exchanger. This option is utilized only during shutdowns of the cogeneration units and in the summer months when the cogeneration units are not in operation.
  • The system operates as a hot water system with a temperature difference of 70°C/90°C.

  • Emergency cooling with a capacity of 1300 kW is installed for "summer operation" in case of activation of power balancing services.
  • The operation is integrated with 2 gas boilers with a capacity of 6 MWt each.
  • The system operates as a hot water system.
  • 15 supply points within the CTP complex.
  • We operate it together with the central boiler plant (rented for 15 years).

  • The units will be part of a facility for providing power balancing services.
  • The operation is integrated with 2 gas boilers with a capacity of 4.2 MWt each.

  • We operate it together with the central boiler plant.
